I have been the invited painting tutor with Rufus Reade Tours for over 20 years. It is a joy to experience countries and culture by drawing and painting your way around them. If you have not travelled with Rufus Reade before you are in for a treat: it is a lovely way to enjoy company  to explore the county at a slow pace by walking around sites, people watching, learning about architecture and wildlife, soaking up the atmosphere of place under the expert guidance of Rufus. I enjoy researching the country and artistic culture before I go and put together short slide talks to introduce fellow travellers to ways of seeing and working both in sketchbooks and on larger works. There are short  demonstrations on how to work with various media and inspire both immediate and more resolved artistic responses. The tours are open to all, beginner or experienced alike and non- painting partners are most welcome.
